After Cinnotti's we went home and Asher had a great two hour nap and woke up very happy! Then we were off to Gymboree, which he is loving more and more. He was on "all cylinders go" yesterday in class and wanted to crawl, crawl, crawl. He is really fast at climbing up stairs too. This is a pic of him at the end of class during the "puppet" song. He was like "what are you crazy ladies doing?"
Then last night Jayme and I had a date night! I found a babysitter through church who is 21, responsible and had tons of experience! She came over at about 6:45pm and off we went. Asher did great with her and we had a relaxing evening. I had originally scheduled her for last weekend but then Jayme and I got sick so I canceled. We went to Best Buy, dinner at J. Alexander's (where I had a giant cheeseburger and Jayme had seared tuna) and then went to Barnes and Noble. A great evening. This is not my best pic but yay! We had a date! I have scheduled Amelia to come back on the 26th for us to go out and celebrate our anniversary!! Woot! Woot!
Today was good news as well! I had a baby girl checkup and she and I are doing great. My weight and blood pressure are "perfect" according to my midwife and I am a "boring" patient because I don't have a lot of questions and nothing is "wrong." Yay! Baby Girl sits very low in my tummy but Lauren (my midwife) found her heartbeat without too much trouble. It was very loud and was 150 bpm. We have only one more "monthly" checkup and then we switch to every two weeks. This pregnancy has gone by very quickly! :) Next on the agenda for me concerning pregnancy is the dreaded "glucose tolerance" test. Basically you have to go get blood taken, drink a less than stellar sugary drink in 5 minutes (tastes like really syrupy Kool Aid), wait an hour and then get my blood taken again. This is to see how well I tolerate sugar. Last time I passed it with no problem, and this time I anticipate the same result, but I have heard that if you are even one point over they send you for the 3 hour test, which is the same thing but your blood taken every hour for three hours...ew!! Fun fun!!! :) Have a super day!
