School Christmas Program!

What a fun morning!  I am often happily surprised by what the kids will do, and what I think they might do.  I thought they might be nervous to sing in front of a group of strangers, but nope!  Both of them did wonderfully, and smiled so big as they sang.  Asher sang more than Hannah I think, but that's to be expected.  They both really love school, their teacher, and their friends.  They both always have great days and have yet to tell me anything that gives me pause.  I love knowing the structure of the school and know how much they are loved and how much they are learning about God.
Asher is constantly talking about God making the world, and asking TONS of questions.  Last week he asked me "Mommy?  How does God and Jesus see through rooves (that's how it sounded when he said it)?"  Another time he asked "Who protects Jesus?"  I told him God and he said "Who protects God?"  I told him God doesn't need protected, though Jesus doesn't either.
Hannah is always happy when I pick her up, and is excited to show me what she made that day, or that she "saved some of my lunch." Heehee.
Good things all around:).
So this morning's program consisted of 3 short, separate segments.  First Hannah's group (the 2's) sang 3 songs, then Asher's group (the 3's) sang two songs, because one of them was long they didn't do a third, and then VPK (the 4's) went last.  Afterwards there was a cookie reception, and then we enjoyed lunch at Chick-fil-a.  Jayme was able to come, which was a real treat.  I asked Asher what his favorite part of the day was and he replied "My favorite part was seeing you."  They both just looked so happy that we were both there!  Hannah kept smiling in our direction while she was singing.  Happy kiddos.
Another highlight was that Dawn came to see them sing too!  This was a special treat, and meant a lot!  Thank you Aunt Dawn!
Before Leaving the house- love how hard they are trying to smile nicely :)

But this is much more fun! :)

Sweetie pie Hope and I ran errands after dropping the kids off at school.  She ate well, and then slept through the program, lunch, and me putting Hannah down for her nap before waking up!  #itsthelittlethings

We got to sit in the first row after the kid's pews, which was great, because Asher told me this morning "Mommy sit very close, I want to see you when I sing."  They were happy to see us! :)

VPK, the "big kids" doing their thing- this will be Asher next year!  They process down the aisle in costumes.

Thank you Dawn!

In addition to the cookie reception, every class has art set up around the room, and we got to take it after we enjoyed a cookie!

She loves her a cookie!  And Asher's favorite center in his classroom

And Hannah's- a Charlie Brown Christmas tree with a cute ornament, Hannah elf, and a cute heart ornament :)
