DATE NIGHT!

Well, we hadn't had a date night since before Asher's birthday (the night he got sick with strep with our sitter and we had to leave our movie early), so we booked one for last Saturday.
We decided to be adventurous and try a new place in town called SMASH!  It's a restaurant/bar/ping pong gaming place.  When you walk in you see ping pong tables everywhere!  You can order food and drinks while you play, and then when you have had enough you tell your waitress and she brings you your check!  We decided to play for an hour (As you have to pay for the playing time as well as food), and had a really fun time!  We ordered drinks and food while we started playing, then stopped to eat some of our food, then finished playing, and then finished eating.  It was a relaxed atmosphere, and hopefully it's a place that will stick around! I lost every game, but did give Jayme more competition than he was expecting, so that was good!
After we finished dinner we walked around the Town Center for awhile and then brought donuts home for dessert.
The funny part was the kids reaction to us going on a date.  You would have thought we were leaving for a week!  When we got home Grace told us Asher had come out once, slinking around the dining room, and she sent him back to bed.  Well, shortly after she left Hannah came flying out of her room with a big smile on her face.  I walked her back into the room to find Asher WIDE awake and SOOO excited to see that we were back home!  "Mommy I stayed up all night waiting for you!  I turned on my nightlights, got drinks of water, set the sound machine and I waited for you!"  Oh my goodness I didn't know whether to yell at them or smile and be happy we are so loved!  I chose the latter, snuggled them back into bed and then Jayme and I enjoyed a movie and our dessert!  Thankfully we got home at 915pm haha- we are soo crazy y'all!!! Haha.  I really enjoyed the time with my honey to laugh and just hang out.  I look forward to the next time!
