HE IS RISEN!!! HE IS RISEN INDEED!!!

Last Sunday was a very good day here in Jax!  The kids were up bright and early, and excited to see what the Easter bunny had left for them.  We had plans to go to the 830am church service, so it was good they were up at the crack of dawn haha.  We decided to let them do their scavenger hunt the bunny left for them, instead of hunting for eggs, as we had discovered that a raccoon (or some other animal) had gotten into the eggs the Easter bunny had left on the ground outside.  The stupid thing ate ALL the chocolate but left the candy, coins and toys.  The kids handled it pretty well!
They had a blast running around the house and outside, following the clues that were left, and then ultimately found their baskets in Hannah and Asher's closet.  Today (Sunday the 28th) Asher said "You know how we found our Easter baskets in our closet?  Well the bunny must have been super sneaky because I was sleeping IN THAT ROOM!"  I can't decide if this is a good thing that he thinks it's cool, or it could just be super creepy haha.  Hannah said "maybe he got in through the roof and then fixed it on his way back out!"  Last week she said "Mommy is the Easter bunny real?"  I asked her what she thought and Asher said "Of course he is!"  She said "Well how does he get to all the houses in one night ?  That's crazy!"  Asher replied "Anything's possible."  It was cute.

Scavenger Hunt

After a quick breakfast we went to church to focus on the REAL reason for the day.  Jesus did not stay in the tomb, He rose, He started new, and we can too!  Our pastor wove the movie The Greatest Showman into his sermon, and used the song From Now On to tell us with Jesus we can start fresh.  Amen and Amen !  The girls really enjoy their Sunday School classes and come out happy.  Hope always says "I missed you!!"  but is happy when she says it.

Wiggins/Pugh kiddos- Isla, Naomi, Hannah, Hannah, Hope, Asher!

After church we just headed home for doggie snuggles, food and fun- Grama and Papa were so sweet and brought a new game for the kiddos, along with some other goodies (big shout out to Grandpa and Nonna for an awesome package earlier in the week.  Our kids are so spoiled). The game (tabletop curling) was played quite a bit!  Good clean fun!  The kiddos also played outside and I redid some eggs and they had their hunt.  Then we sat down to a pretty decent meal of Honeybaked Ham, mac n cheese, broccoli, sweet potatoes, bread and a delicious salad made by Grama.

After lunch I put Hope down for her nap.  Grama and Papa headed out before she woke up and when she realized they were gone she said "Oh, I sad."  It was very sweet.
We are so thankful for family, friends and of course Jesus.
