Teeth and Pumpkins!

I hope everyone is well!  This week has been pretty uneventful, with the exception of Asher getting his first tooth!  He has been working on it for awhile, but last Friday night it started to become a "problem."  He has had some not so good nights due to it (which Tylenol helped with), and has been a touch cranky here and there.  Getting a tooth is hard work!  It has now pushed through the gumline, and the worst is over...until the next one starts haha.
On Friday morning Jayme very nicely suggested we go to dinner that evening.  I quickly agreed, as we don't go places much because Asher goes to bed pretty early (around 7pm) and Jayme doesn't get home from work until about 6:30pm.  On Friday he pulled up to the house around 5:30!  Off we went to Cantina Laredo.  By the time we got seated, ordered and were waiting for our food Asher had decided he had had enough!  He was a little bit fussy and a lot tired!  I tried walking him around and even took him to the car and tried to feed him, but he really just wanted to get to bed!  I texted Jayme and he got our food to go!  It was pretty comical and will be a funny memory we have together.  As soon as we got home Asher went down to bed and we ate our food while watching a movie!  A great Friday night!  This has happened one other time to us (last weekend), so I jokingly say Asher turns into a pumpkin at 7pm.  The child knows his bedtime!  Which is not a bad thing!  I have also discovered he really sleeps best at our house, in his own bed.  He often doesn't get to nap at the optimal time at school (due to the morning schedule), and then he is "off" for the rest of the day.  The last few weeks at school his naps have been all of 30 minutes!  So by the time we get home he is very tired!  This is all fine and just "life" but I am excited for only two more weeks of school so we can just chill and get in those nap times during the summer.  As someone who really enjoys her sleep, I feel his "pain."
Yesterday morning I was a bit cranky, and annoyed at the migraine that has plagued me for about a week now (off and on).  Jayme was reading the paper and saw that Carrie Underwood was in town for a concert on her Blown Away tour.  He checked Ticketmaster and saw there were still some seats available.  He very sweetly suggested I grab a friend and go.  "Maybe it will help you feel better."  What a gem!  So I bought tickets and my dear friend Barbie and I went to the concert!  It was so great to get out and spend some quality time with her!  AND the music was awesome!  Hunter Hayes opened for Carrie and he was great!  Very personable!  I tend to think country musicians are very talented- this kid played various guitars, the piano AND had a very impressive voice!  He also writes his own songs....and is only 21 years old.  The fact that he was born in 1991 made me feel quite old but there's not much I can do about that!  Carrie is one classy lady- she has a Christian message along with her traditional country songs, which is great.  She sang a song called "Temporary Home," which talks about how this life isn't our final destination.  Pretty neat!
Well enough rambling on my part!  Have a super week!
