Checkups!

Two Thursdays ago (5/2/14) Hannah had her 3 month checkup.  She weighs 11 lbs. 7 oz and is 24.5 inches long.  Her height is in the 90th percentile and her weight is in the 35th percentile.  She is long and skinny!  She is a very happy baby who only fusses when tired or hungry.  She enjoys chewing on her hands and likes taking naps in her swing, although she sleeps in her PacknPlay at night.  She is still doing well at tummy time and has started rolling over- the first time was this past Thursday.  I can't believe it's time for this milestone- where has the time gone?  Our sweet baby girl- just can't get enough of her!!!  It was a good "normal" appointment- woohoo!

Waiting for the doctor!

Last Tuesday Asher had his 18 month check up.  He weighs 26 lbs. 2 oz and is 34.25 inches tall.  He is in the 93rd percentile for height and the 55th percentile for weight.  Our sweet boy!  He was very busy at the doctor's office, as usual!  It was also a normal appointment.  I did ask Dr. Silberman about his sleep habits when out of town, but he didn't have any miraculous advice.  He said toddlers like their schedules and like to be where they are most familiar.  I was hoping for a cure all!  Haha.  He said at this point he expects 18 month olds to say a few words (check!) and says their language really takes off in the next 6 months.  Potty training usually happens between 2 and 3 years old and we should take him to the dentist around age 2.  I told him Asher still gets a bottle for nap and bedtime and he said ideally he would be done with that by age two, but that it probably wouldn't be easy, given it's part of his nap/bedtime routine.  Good luck to us.  Dr. Silberman asked if he was exhibiting "terrible twos" behavior and we said (fingers crossed) not yet.  We were informed to expect it!  He had his 4th polio shot and his 4th DTP shots- the kid barely whimpered.  Our little tough guy!

Cookie at Publix to celebrate a good appointment and bravery when faced with shots :P

He studied the cookie for awhile, then dug in!
