We took a few pictures and I sent them to him and this was his reply :
"That is looking great. I would keep doing a more gentle version of stretches for another week or so." Victory- the relief I felt was great. A real weight off my shoulders.
The white part is where he used the laser- the original wound. She doesn't like the gentle massage either but at least I know I'm not putting her through lots of pain!
The other interesting story of our week happened at Bay & Bee- it's a bit detailed, so read at your own risk. Asher is doing well in general with potty training. However, he resists BBC's (big brown cracks, which is what he called #2 when he first started seeing it in the potty). It had been a few days since he had gone, and we were at Bay & Bee when it opened. Thankfully we were the only ones there. You can see where this is going...I was in the store section and the kids were in the play section. I was trying to discreetly buy a toy for his birthday that he had asked for. After I ran and put it in the car I came over to see what they were up to, and Asher stood up, turned around, stuck his tushie out and said "See Mommy? I pooped in my pants." I was mortified. I rushed him into the bathroom to clean him up. Left him and Hannah in there to go grab the diaper bag for new clothes. Still praying nobody had noticed. I got him cleaned up, but didn't have any undies (I actually did but they were hidden at the bottom of the bag, so I let him go commando under his shorts. Whew, crisis averted! Off they went to play. Not so soon my friends, not so soon.....I was following Hannah around (and changing her dirty diaper) and Asher was over at the train table playing very nicely. See? I'm a good mom, I knew where they both were at all times. :) Ha!
I walked over to check on him just in time to see poop fall out of his shorts, down his leg and land ON THE FLOOR at Bay & Bee. By this time it's close to 10am and more people are there. I look around in panic to see what I can use to wipe up the floor (did go back and wipe with a Clorox wipe) before anyone sees, and I spy tissues. I grabbed two, wiped it up, ran him back to the bathroom to wipe up what I could (at this point I have no baby wipes left) and then took him straight to the car, leaving poor Hannah worrying that Mommy had left her. With poop on my shirt I run back into Bay & Bee, grab her and leave, with the owner saying "Wow that was a quick little visit" and me mumbling something about having to get to the store soon.... I will not soon forget that....awful and bad and awful. So pray he starts consistently telling us! If we are at home and in the same vicinity as him we see him start to wiggle and take him to the potty. However, if he is busy playing and I'm not in the same room...disaster strikes.
This morning he had a successful BBC in the potty and we had a dance party to celebrate! After awhile Jayme and I were out of breath, and I said "we need a break, we're old." A few minutes later he said "Mommy and Daddy, you're not old, you're perfect." Love him!
Watching a show in the front seat while we wait for Daddy to finish in his office so we can go to dinner with him!
Tuesday and Thursday mornings with my princess while Asher is at school.
She is obsessed with climbing...thinks she belongs in the big chairs!
Celebrating after her last set of real stretches!!!!
Where's Asher?! He loves to sleep completely covered up (he's in there I promise) He napped all week!
Trying on her Tinkerbell Halloween costume
Asher really likes school, and it's rare for him to be sad when I drop him off. He gets back in the car happy as can be, chattering away about his day. His assistant, Ms. Rhyne, put him in his car seat (We do carpool line) on Thursday afternoon and said that Asher was sitting at the same table as a boy who was doing a lot of whining. She said Asher got up, found another chair, pulled it over to the other table and sat down there, like the whining boy was bothering him! She said he did it all without saying a word to anyone! So funny!!!!
I am sorry, I could not help but laugh at the poop plopping out of his shorts!!!!! OMG!!!
ReplyDeletePriceless moment mama!!!!! ;)
