I was originally a bit nervous about how summer would go, and 3 full months stretched out before me with nothing on the schedule! Haha- but then I thought, I love my kids and they are only this size once, so what fun can we have together to help pass the days, maybe be a bit educational and also let them be kids?? We are working on all of those things, but the first two weeks of summer have gone pretty well, if I do say so myself. We have had a ton of rain which has dampened the pool opportunities, but we've managed not to go too crazy! Abby has been around some which helps a lot and we've also had Hope's swim lessons every morning, so that got us up and moving.
Last Monday was pretty quiet, but the kids asked to make the newest fad, slime!! There's a commercial on Nick Jr. that got them all excited, so off to the store we went for Elmer's glue. A few ingredients later and we had slime! Thankfully neither one of them was super excited about it, as most parents apparently hate the fad and can't wait for it to pass. None the less, their faces were pretty funny :).
Snuggled in a Target cart, slime and building a fort later in the day.
Pretty funny. Stay tuned for our Sweet Pete's Toddler Time adventure in the rain!!!
