Last Friday, the same day as Hannah's mom event, the kids and I went to the Mini Bar for some donuts after school. The big kids are now able to help me some, and it's great! They like to choose where we sit, and when I looked over while ordering to check on them, they were working together to un-stack a high chair for Hope to sit in. Nice team work guys! Some things we are teaching are sinking in! Another sweet moment- while riding in the car, Hannah said she was "freezing" so Asher immediately reached up and closed the vents for her. "Thanks Ashow" she said. Yay!
While at the donut shop, I was watching Asher fiddle with his other middle bottom tooth, thinking to myself, that tooth is going to be history soon! He looked a little like a jack-o-lantern at this point, so I took some more pics. I couldn't believe within 8 days he would lose two teeth!
Sure enough, after some silly pirate playing (we had just finished watching Peter Pan for the first time) when daddy got home, Asher was having a snack, and accidentally bit down hard on his loose tooth. He told me it hurt, and it was bleeding a bit. I asked him if he wanted me to pull it for him, but then he got a little bit nervous, so we encouraged him to give it a try on his own, and whaddaya know, a few seconds later he was holding tooth #2 in his hand! Way to go buddy! He wondered out loud if the tooth fairy would bring him more Legos or money, and we told him he'd just have to wait and see! He still had the "please leave my tooth" sign up from the first tooth, which worked out great!

Well, when Asher woke up on Saturday morning, he calmly came into our room and said "Mommy the tooth fairy didn't leave me anything! I looked everywhere, under my bed, under my pillow, in the crack of my bed." After some quick thinking and action (bc the tooth fairy had an epic fail) Daddy was so smart and said "Well have you looked in the bathroom where all the toothbrushes are?? Maybe she left it in there!" GENIUS!!!!! The tooth fairy left him a new Lego set on the bathroom counter. Win!
