Asher's Muffins with Mom

Wednesday was a SUPER fun, special morning with Asher.  He had been telling me "I made some things for you, but I can't tell you what they are!" for awhile, and I was excited to get in there and check things out.  He was very happy that the big day was finally here.
Jayme took Hope to his office, as younger siblings were not allowed.  It was nice to be able to focus on just Asher, and not have to worry about Hope getting into things and chasing her around.  Thanks babe!
It's amazing how important it made me feel, to just have 45 minutes with my little man, one on one, with wonderful crafts made just for me.  It's all in a mom's job to take care of everyone else, and I LOVE it everyday, even the tough days, but it was cool to have Asher telling me "Mommy, I love you, Mommy, Happy Mother's Day" every 3 seconds.
The VPK teachers had done a superb job making the tables look girlie and fun, and reading over all of Asher's thoughts about his mom was pretty funny.  And spot on I have to say!
We had a welcome, then we had to play "Guess the Mommy."  Each child had painted a portrait of his or her mom, and we had to guess which one was which, within our child's classroom.  I lucked out because there were only two moms with blue eyes in Asher's class haha, and I guessed what color shirt he'd paint on me.  After the game we ate some muffins and fruit, and then a mom from India taught us a few dance moves!  She taught the hand signals for mom and dad, and incorporated them into the dance!  She and her daughter danced a longer dance for us before the demonstration.  Super Fun!  Other than the time with him, my favorite thing from the morning is the crafts.  They are irreplaceable, and show a good snapshot of life with Asher at age 5.5.   Just precious to me.  I'll keep them and then cry over them when he goes to college haha.

Inside the bag was a beaded key chain.  He was excited when he saw me using it!

He's spot on!

He wanted the kissing picture :)

I like my eyelashes a lot :).
