Playdough

This morning was a good morning with Hope.  We dropped the bigs off at school, dropped Asher's class basket off at Chet's, then met up with Dawn and Fun for breakfast and girl talk.  After we arrived home, I asked Hope if she wanted to play with Play Doh.  She of course yelled "Yes!" and I got all the stuff out for her.
She played for an hour and would have kept going if I didn't stop her to go for her nap.  I even fed her her soup at the table so she could keep playing.  "Das a good idea Mama!"  she told me.
Play Doh is amazing for the imagination, and great for her fine motor skills as well.  I don't get it out often enough.  It is on the summer list for sure.  It allowed her to just be herself, working and imagining.  I had a lot of fun just watching her.  I am often off doing laundry (or we are furiously running errands) and all the house things that need to get done, but today I got out my camera and just watched her.  She jubilantly yelled "Mama!  Here's your cake.  You take a bite and then I sing Happy Birthday to you!"  To me, it may seem like a mess, but to her....to her it's a world of simple fun and happiness.  I love you sweet girl.  Now excuse me while I go tell her to stop using her crib mattress as a trampoline.

Before I cleaned up I looked on the floor and saw she had matched the Play Doh tools to the mat on her own.

Trying to figure out my good camera's video abilities.
