Hannah's Second Day

Ok, moving back a little bit.  Hannah had a great first night!  Much better than poor Asher's was- he screamed for 80% of the night.  My mom stayed with me in the hospital so Jayme could go home and keep Asher, and let Asher stay on his normal routine.  Hannah was up off and on from 12-2am (my mom's 'shift') due to still having gunk in her throat from delivery.  She kept coughing and spitting up.  I took her at 2am to feed her and then she slept from 430-730am!  Not bad for a 12 hour hold little one!  We got up at 730am to get dressed for Asher and Jayme's arrival so Asher could meet his sister.  They also brought us Chick-Fil-A breakfast- yum!  They arrived at about 9:15am and Asher saw Hannah right away.  He said "baby, baby."  I grabbed him at about the same time he saw her and he gave me my kisses and hugs I had missed over the last day!  I held Asher on my lap and then took Hannah from my mom.  He was so cute- he was actually somewhat hesitant to touch her.  He put his hands behind his back for a minute, and then pointed out her nose.  After a few minutes I started to hand her back to my mom and he put his arms out like he wanted her to stay where she was.   So sweet!  After a couple more minutes he wanted down and off he went exploring the room!

Trying to get him to kiss her- he shook his head and said "no"

And he's off!  Silly boy!

After Asher's visit my mom took him home and Jayme was able to stay for the rest of the day in the hospital so we could tend to Hannah's various appointments!  She had a photographer visit, the neonatologist check her out and discharge her (pending her PKU test, bilirubin test and weight check, which were all great), a hearing test and the lactation consultant stopped by as well.  My OB came by to discharge me and then we had to get paper work signed and instructions from my nurse and then we were good to go!  This was a lot all in one day, but I was eager to get home, and it all happened relatively calmly as well.  Here are some pictures from the day:

Hospital Photographer- not her best pics due to her being fussy and a little hungry but we wanted the memories!

 Sweet Baby Girl

I was so excited that I was able to be up and around- I even put on makeup!  yay!

Hearing Test- she didn't move a muscle despite all the cold sensors that were placed on her!

 Snoozin after the hearing test

Getting changed into her going home outfit

My sweet nurses acted sad that we were leaving, so we snapped one more picture with them!

Headed home- yay!

After arriving home at about 5:30pm we reintroduced Asher to Hannah, which was pretty funny- at one point he literally picked her up off of the floor by her sleeper...thankfully we were right there to stop it!  She went into the swing in our room for safety while we put him to bed after he had PDQ chicken for dinner and then the adults had Brucci's for our dinner- yum yum!

Um is she here to stay?  Why is she makin' all that racket?

Yay !?

First night- only got up twice!

Next Morning- yep she's still here!!

All in all it was a great day!  We are blessed!  More to come- I know you can't wait :P.
