Great Weekend

Yesterday began a little bit early with a Spring mini session at 9:15am at a park in Mandarin.  Mini sessions are photography sessions that are only 15 minutes long and revolve around a theme.  Our photographer (the one who has done both kiddos newborn pics and Asher's 6 month and one year and my maternity) had an adorable set all ready when we got there, complete with watering cans, lots of pretty flowers and a sign that said "flowers 4 sale."  So cute!  We got a few family shots and then she did some of just the kiddos.  Crossing my fingers the ones of Asher sitting next to Hannah turn out well!

After the pictures we went to Krispy Kreme for a quick breakfast (so healthy I know)!  Next we made a quick stop at Target and then went home to put Asher down for his nap.  Asher, Hannah and I all slept while Jayme finished our taxes.  I love sleeping.  :P  Then we had a special treat: Aunt Abby came to visit!  She made a quick weekend trip to FL and borrowed a car from GG to come visit us for a few hours.  She met Hannah for the first time and she and I (and Hannah) went out for a quick bite to eat before she went back to central FL.

 

 

Today we made it to church for the first time in many months.  Asher is now on a one nap schedule, which makes it easier to go to the 10am service (when he was taking two naps his first nap was right at church time).  It was great to be back worshipping and hearing a message from our pastor.

After Asher's nap we went to the zoo to see the new tiger exhibit.  It is pretty fancy and elaborate!  The tigers were sleeping, so we didn't get to see them running around the overhead tracks or playing in the water, but Asher enjoyed the sea otters and babirusa (which is just plain UGLY!)  We went to see the monkeys after and took a peek at the giraffes.  One cute thing Asher did when we strolled up to the entrance of the zoo- when he saw the banners of the tigers he started smiling very big and saying "roar roar."  It was a fun moment- he really seems to love animals!  

Another exciting note- we got to break in our new double stroller- the City Select!  My favorite thing is that it has to moveable seats that can be configured several different ways.  :)  Happy Mommy and Happy Family- a great weekend!

The Girls Just Chillin

 

We have had a bird that has been hanging around our house for the last week or so.  We decided to get a bird feeder so it can have some food and maybe find a friend.  He likes to hang out on our screens and peck at our windows!  Asher helped Daddy set up the bird feeder.
