Baptism

Two Sunday's ago, on October 19th, we had a very important event in Asher and Hannah's life.  We baptized them at our church, CrossRoad.  We have recently become members, and have been attending this church for several years.  Pastor Gee preaches straight from the Bible, and we feel very welcome at this church!  The church was kind enough to let us baptize the kids on this specific day after the usual church service, even though it wasn't the usual Sunday for kids baptisms.  Since we had so much family in town for Asher's birthday party, we made the request of Pastor Gee and he obliged us!
The kids did great, creating memories during the short service.  Asher saw the band of the church before the baptism, and knew there was a guitar on stage.  He tried valiantly to find it before the baptism, and since that didn't produce a guitar, he talked about "guitar" and "Mickey" the whole time the baptism went on!  Hannah did super, only crying when the water was put on her head.  Asher said "cold?" when it was his turn.
Most importantly, we rededicated ourselves to the Lord and have the outward symbol that we will teach our children about God's grace and help them come to their faith in God when the time is right.
We are so touched that so many family members and friends were there to celebrate with us!  We love you all!  Thank you to Dawn as well for taking pictures at the church! :)
