My how things have changed in a year!! Anyways!
There is a great organization here in town called Jacksonville Moms Blog (www.jaxmomsblog.com). Not only are there many blog posts every week, but they also schedule huge playdates and let everyone know what great things there are to do in our town. Today they hosted a playdate at this church (Isle of Palm Methodist Church). There were several vendors there, selling various items, as well as a lot of 'cwiming' opportunities and various other fun things for an almost two year old to get into! It was fun to let Asher run around climbing and he had blast doing it. We were there for about an hour, and then went home for dinner, baths and our family walk after Jayme got home.
Asher is putting phrases together more and more everyday. Some of his favorites are "I see you" "Dada silly" "Mommy silly" "(where) are you?" and "I see it." Today at the pumpkin patch he kept saying he was "cwiming." Towards the end he started asking about Hannah. He kept saying "Hannah cwim?" until I figured out he wanted me to put her up on the Noah's ark where he was. As soon as I did it he clapped. It was really sweet! The pics are not the best, as he was on the move and not wanting to sit still but here they are. Oh and another highlight was the "strawbee" Popsicle we bought- It was too cold for Asher to bite into but Hannah had a great time sucking on it! When I'd take it away from her she would fuss. Love these babies!
Climbing the bales of hay did not last long- too scratchy!
Loved the giraffe
Best I could get of the two of them- was very concerned with them both going over the edge!
Tonight they both got a bath at the same time. Asher is very sweet and generally treats her very gently. She grabbed a toy in the tub and he of course wanted it. I told him he couldn't take it from her. He said "Take it? take it?" I said no. He waited very patiently, just staring at her and watching her. When she released the toy I said "ok you can have it now." He gently picked it up, smiled very big and said "thank you!" This scene repeated itself several times over the course of the bath. Makes my mommy heart proud!
