Fun Walk
This morning I had planned on going to Bay & Bee for their special music time in honor of Veterans' Day, but when the kids got up they were both somewhat cranky, so I decided against going anywhere. We did however, go for a walk around the neighborhood. I'm pretty certain that every remaining lot in the 'hood is being built on now. I feel like ICI has decided to just build then sell, since they have another neighborhood nearby that they just started. Anyhow, Asher did some walking and some riding, but when we got to a big stretch where there are about 5 houses being built side by side we sat and stared for awhile. I pointed out the two cement mixers that were there, as well as various ladders (one had a pulley system going so the guys on the roof didn't have to keep going down for more supplies). Asher was in complete awe. He just sat and looked and looked and looked. I wish I had taken my camera but was trying to not be so attached to it. It was so cute. He kept saying "wadder, wadder" and watching the guys deliver the supplies to the roof. It was like a two year old boy's heaven! He sat in the stroller saying "roof, mixer, wadder, up, roof, mixer, wadder." I tried to leave a few times but he kept saying "wadder! wadder!" aka ladder. So we just sat and watched. Oh he also kept commenting on the guys work hats too. Tears ensued when we finally left, but Hannah needed to get home for her nap! We got to see ANOTHER mixer a few lots down from us, but then it left, and more tears flowed! Even after we got inside and I put Mickey on for Asher, and was laying Hannah down for her nap Asher was still thinking about it. He came flying down the hallway at top speed, then stopped abruptly in the doorway and said "mixer all done, mixer bye bye." Cute memory of a little boy!
