I just got done putting Asher down for his nap, and thought I'd share a few of our mini conversations that happened- the kid cracks us up! I was telling Asher about Miss Abi, who is coming tonight to babysit for the first time. I told him she is very nice, and she will play with he and Hannah, and watch Mickey, and put him to bed. He pointed to his crib and said "put night night?" I said yes. He laid his head on my shoulder and was quiet for a minute. Then he pops up and says "Is she vewy stwong?" (Is she very strong?) So funny- out of left field. I guess his "My God is so Big, so Strong..." song is in his head- also a Valentine's book we are reading talks about a character who is strong...but still...
Then he wouldn't let me sing any songs- kept saying "no sing." So I finally just gave him a bear hug and said "squeeze!" He proceeded to say "squeeze" and "nunnle" (snuggle) several times, and I'd do each one. After a few rounds of this he stopped and said "fank you mommy."
Just before I laid him down he folded his hands like he was praying. I said "Dear Lord, thank you for Dada and Hannah and Asher." He said "fank you for baby Jesus and Murry" (Mary). Such a sweetie!
