ISR Today

So both kids had great swim lessons today!  Hannah has had 18 lessons and Amy says she is doing "really great."  She said it several times, which was happy!  Hannah is pretty much swimming/float/swimming on her own, Amy's hands are just there to guide her a bit.  It is very exciting!  Hannah is pretty relaxed in the water, and today she had lots of smiles and gave high fives in between swimming repetitions.  This weekend when we were swimming, after I'd have Hannah swim to the wall she would point to the water and smile big, like "Come on let me do it again!"  She is nosy in the water too- likes to look around while under water to check out who is around her.  It's pretty funny.  So proud of our sweet girl!

Asher has had some fear/lack of confidence in the water this week, which I can only assume isn't helped by the new bed/lack of sleep situation.  Yesterday he was telling Amy "I can't do it, I'm not ready, no I'm not going to swim, I'm all done, etc" and today he was calmer in the water and she was very happy with his lesson.  She did some variations on swimming with him- let him jump from the step to her, let him pick where he wanted to swim, etc.  In the video he first says he wants to go to the steps but after she releases him he changes his mind and swims to the wall, because he figures out it's closer.  It's pretty funny, and he's happy to be in the water!

Finally some smiles while waiting for his lesson after a rough Monday and Tuesday!  He is usually teary while we wait but not today!
