We arrived in Tybee Island late Friday evening, said hello to friends, and made plans for brunch late the next morning. We slept in until 9!!! After getting up we took a walk on the beach to a little restaurant with a great view of the beach, which is where we ate brunch. We caught up with said friends, Jayme met a couple of my friends' husbands that he hadn't met before, and we had a great time laughing and reminiscing. Two of the girls couldn't make it- one because her flight got canceled (she was coming from Philly) and one because she had her first baby on Asher's birthday! Little Julianne is beautiful and doing well :).
After brunch we napped and then got ready for the quiet beach wedding. It was windy but pretty warm. A perfect setting to watch Annette and Keith get married. Then we headed back up the boardwalk to a place called the Guard House, where dinner was waiting for us, along with a dance floor, which we pretty much took over and had a blast with!
The next morning we slept in AGAIN!!!! Then met the group for brunch before we all went our separate ways. Such a great little reunion!
The kids were well taken care of by Abby and Grama H. We missed them and were excited to see them, but they did well. Asher, true to form, was up super early Saturday morning, but did better Saturday night/Sunday morning. They just hung out at the house and enjoyed each other's company.
I talked to Asher on the phone before the wedding reception and he was excited about playing golf outside with his new little golf set. He did comment "Hi Mommy! I played golf. But my parents are not here to play wif me." Too funny.
