What a Weekend!!!

Oh what a weekend!  Both of our poor kiddos are sick, so pray for them to make a quick recovery!  Hannah has been congested since Wednesday, but today was the worst day so far.  Not too many smiles from our usually sweet happy girl.  She had about 45 minutes this evening where she just sat in my lap and cried.  A bath helped but then she got upset shortly after getting out (we think she's teething too, and I stuck my finger in her mouth to see if I could feel anything...this was not well received!).  She is basically one big snot ball with a nasty cough.  I will be taking her to the doctor tomorrow for sure.  Asher was good and I think he has escaped what Hannah has, but last night at the wedding we went to he got very cuddly and said he was tired and his belly hurt.  I thought it was because he hadn't eaten much but in the middle of the night he woke up with some tummy trouble.  This morning he had a fever of 101.6 which dropped to about 100 during the course of the day, with one more round of tummy trouble.  He slept in until 9 so we didn't nap him but at 6pm he said "I want to go to bed" so off we went to his room where he fell asleep before I was finished reading his books.
So today we just hung out together, which was actually pretty fun, with the exception of the little people being sick.  Jayme mowed the lawn and we did go for a bike ride to get some fresh air!  I am also thankful that since Hannah was not feeling her best yesterday that Asher was because we had our winter mini photo session with Jenn Hopkins, and Asher gave some good smiles, even if little miss did not!  It's a "first world problem" but I get a bit stressed out before these sessions because I want the kids to show their happy cute selves!  However, I know they are little still so it is what it is!
After our photo session Jayme and Hannah went home and she was all smiles there for him!!  He got some cute shots of her on our camera before putting her to bed.
Asher and I went to the wedding of his first real babysitter, Brooke.  She was the first person I really left him with, and she really cared about him!  She was very excited to see us at her wedding, and I'm glad we went, even if we missed the ceremony due to our pictures.  It was also fun to just have one kid, a bit of special time for Asher and I, as well as for Jayme and Hannah.  On the way home Asher said "Do you love me?"  I said "How much do I love you buddy?"  He replied "More than all the stars in the sky, Mommy" (this is what I always tell him and Hannah).  He said "You just have one kid.  One kid in the car."  I said "Yes thanks for being my date tonight.  Was it fun to just be you and me?"  He said "Fank you, Mommy."  Love this little guy!
Then this morning Hannah was messing with him, petting his hair and trying to kiss him.  Jayme said he told her to not bug him and he said "That's ok Daddy Hannah can kiss me if she wants to."
I told him later that he had a tummy bug and that's why he didn't feel well.  About 10 minutes after that he said "How many bugs are in there?  One, or two?"  Then a few minutes later "Are there crickets in there?"  I tried to tell him it just means he has a bad germ in his tummy that's making him not feel well.  He said "can you get it out of me?"  Oh the mind of a toddler!!!
Here's a few pictures of the weekend!  Despite the sickness we are truly blessed.

This was Friday, making a cave out of the cushions, just like Curious George did so he could hibernate :P  and Friday night, celebrating Asher completing his sticker chart with his chosen reward "Ice cream with sprinkles." He gets a sticker every time he goes to sleep on his own!

Saturday afternoon, ready for our pics!

 My favorites

Not a bad family selfie!

I said "smile Hannah!"  She said "noooo"
