Wednesday Fun

The kids have been a bit under the weather this week, in particular Hannah.  She had what started as a little cold, but her cough progressed further than I was comfy with, so I took her to the doctor on Tuesday.  They agreed that her cough didn't sound great, and recommended a few days of breathing treatments.  The treatments have helped a lot, and she is on her way to recovery!  Asher has caught the same thing, but so far his cold is not doctor worthy!  Fingers crossed it stays that way!
So, while trying to stay away from other kids, we still wanted to be out and about, enjoying the great weather.  We decided the zoo would be a fun option, and so off we went on Wednesday morning!
We spent about 2.5 hours enjoying the animals and each other.  Asher requested the giant otters, and Hannah's request was to see the "tigers...roar!"  We of course rode the train, and the merry go round.  Asher did not want to ride an animal, but chose to ride the bench!  The lady in charge saw I was stuck, as I am supposed to stand next to both of them.  She gave Asher a gentle lecture about staying seated the whole time.  He did perfectly, and she came back around to thank him for following directions. :)

Our fave blue beaked ducks

Trying to convince him he needs to wear a hat or sunglasses to keep the sun out of his eyes!

Asher says "Look Mommy!  It's allergy on the alligator!"  aka algae :)

Hannah stopped, sat down and said "Cheese Mommy!"

This was exciting to me- they both ate sandwiches!  Hannah had PBJ, and Asher had "bread, turkey and cheese..that's all!"  It allowed us to stay at the zoo a bit longer than usual, because we didn't need to rush home for lunch.

Maze Runners :)

Hannah said "Pink!  That's mine."  Pink is her fave color!!

Wednesday night we had the pleasure of meeting Grama and Papa W. in St. Augustine at Cracker Barrel for a yummy dinner!  Always fun to chat and eat good food :).  It was a great day all around!
