Last week was a bit of a doozy! After a great Easter weekend, the week started off pretty normal. Then on Tuesday after Asher got home from school, he went into the playroom as soon as we got home, and came out just as quickly, with "the look" on his face. He had gotten sick 3 different places (thankfully mostly on the tile) before getting to me. Bless his sweet little heart. I cleaned him up, and decided to take him potty before getting him comfy on the couch. Meanwhile, Hannah is crying hard because she's confused about what's going on and why Mommy yelled at her to stay out of the kitchen! I am carrying Asher to the bathroom when WHAM! I slip on vomit I didn't see and we go tumbling to the ground. Thankfully neither the baby belly or Asher hit the ground- my knees and elbow took the fall. Sigh...so much fun. Funny side note- I got an email from Asher's teacher that read "Asher told us today there's a baby in your belly! Is this true?!" We kind of officially told the kids Easter weekend because we were trying out the car with 3 car seats, so we explained to them what was going on. Since then Asher has been very interested in the bump (we call it Lovebug), talking to the baby a lot, surmising it is a boy which we will be naming Maco Paco. He says "I can't see it!" Hannah is fairly interested as well, and calls my belly "baby bump." Anyways!
Tuesday evening continued with Asher getting sick some more, and then Wednesday morning he was sick once more. The rest of Wednesday he just laid on the couch, but drank a lot of fluids, which was a good sign.
Thursday he woke up with a big smile and "Mommy is it time to play?" He ate normally all day and was in a wonderful mood!
Friday while I was furiously packing for our weekend away at Sea World Asher barely ate. He had half a french toast stick in the morning, a bite of pizza for lunch and half a poptart on the way to Orlando, which he threw up about 20 minutes after we arrived. Ugh...
However, he did recover on Saturday and we ended up having a great weekend with Grama and Papa W. (that's the next post!). So thankful he is better and we are putting that tummy bug behind us!
