Big Asher Weekend

This Saturday we were lucky to have almost the whole family come to Jacksonville to celebrate Asher!
First we had our usual t-ball at 10am on Saturday, and then followed that with a party at 1pm at the house.  We were blessed to have Grandpa and Nonna here from TN, Grama and Papa W, the Salis, Auntie Ann, Aunt Kirstyn, Uncle Joey and cousin Ashley, as well as Aunt Nina/Uncle BJ/cousins, Aunt Abby, and GG Papa from DeLand.  Asher was a very happy boy!  We rented a bounce house for the event, and were lucky enough to have it delivered Friday afternoon, and it was picked up on Sunday morning.  Our house was full and we really enjoyed visiting with everyone.  We appreciate everyone's willingness to drive to Jax!  The day was full of love and fellowship and God gave us absolutely perfect weather.  Sunny and in the low 70's!
Of course, the party let people meet baby Hope too!  She got passed around a bit, and then once everyone had a turn she got to take her nap in the swing.  It was a long one!  The weekend was a bit much for her, but she made it through!
We ate food, let the kids bounce, broke open a pinata (that took some effort and muscles from the kiddos), and had a very yummy dinosaur cake from our local bakery, Cinottis.  Asher had been telling me for a long time he wanted a dinosaur party, so dinos it was.  His smiles made it all worth it, and we thank all of you for coming out to celebrate our big 4 year old!  So very blessed are we!

Pre baseball and baseball practice.  Asher has had an "issue" fielding the ball in the first part of the season.  The kids are told when a ball comes into the in field, to go after it, but don't fight over it.  Asher doesn't like to run after it because "there are a lot of kids there," so he usually just sits and watches the other kids grab the ball, unless it comes right to him.  To remedy this situation, Daddy promised him an ICEE if he went after the ball.  That did the trick!  He did an awesome  job fielding this past week and even got into a scuffle with a kid making his effort!  Way to go buddy!

It's Party Time!

First pic of all 7 cousins on this side of the fam :)

There aren't as many pics of Asher as I thought, because he spent most of his day bouncing!  He was EXHAUSTED at the end, but had a blast!

He LOVED his cake- I wasn't quick enough with the camera, but when I set it down in front of him he just beamed! Asher requested that we not sing to him "I don't want you guys to sing to me because I'm a little shy."  However, we were permitted to count to three and say "Happy Birthday!" before he blew out his candles.  Funny little man.

Dinosaurs even made it into the bathrooms!
