This Weekend- Epic Sunday

This weekend was a busy and good one!  On Saturday Jayme and I got out for a day date.  I feel like for part of the time we didn't know what to say to each other haha- our conversations were able to be completed fairly quickly because there weren't any children interrupting them every 2.3 seconds.  It was awesome to be out, holding hands and just enjoying the quiet time together.  We saw the movie Murder on the Orient Express, then went to one of our old standby yummy places to eat, North Beach Fish Camp.  We need to do this more often!  I think that's a goal of mine/ours for 2018- a date at least once a month!

Sunday was an epic day.  The kids are starting to get super excited when we do these family days.  Hannah shouted all week long "I can't wait to see Grama and Papa and my cousins!"
We started the day in Port Orange, fishing at Grama and Papa's house.  The kids were just starting to get discouraged when they caught a big fish!  They only got one, but it was exciting:).
I did notice after going through my pictures I don't have a ton of the extended family. Usually I annoy people and take a bunch of pics of everyone, but I decided not to do that this time, and see??  I should have!!! :P
Also, you'll see some of my attempts at portrait shots here, mostly of the kids.  I got a new lens for my DSLR camera (Merry Christmas to me), and I'm starting to figure out how to shoot in manual mode.  Right now I'm just totally confused, but attempting to do it with natural light!

After fishing for a bit, and Hope getting a little bit of a nap yay!  We headed over to Annie and Duane's house for the annual Wiggins family Christmas party.  Delicious food was had, fun fellowship and catching up, and of course, so many gifts- this is one generous family!  The kids sure got spoiled, and the beautiful decorations at Annie and Duane's helped us be in the Christmas mood.

After a fun time at the party, we had one more stop- Deltona Alliance Church, for the children's musical, which included all 4 Sali kids, and they all played a big role in the program!  Joanna had a big solo during the second song, Lydia recited a Bible verse to perfection, and Elena had many speaking lines executed wonderfully, as part of the drama team.  Caleb kept us smiling with his animated cute face during all of the songs as well.  I have to say we had a big (quiet) laugh when Jayme went to take Hope out because she was squawking and as he turned to go up the aisle he ran straight into the angels coming on stage.  It wasn't a big deal at all, but hilarious!!!
Afterwards we went to Zaxby's for a family dinner, and we were home with the kiddos in bed by 930pm!
Such a fun, epic day!
