November in a Nutshell

So I've realized I have totally left out everything from September (including Hope's first birthday party), and November.  I think they were months where we were busy and I wasn't getting much sleep!  Hope had a long stretch of being up for a couple of hours every night, and I was severely sleep deprived! But I can be a bit OCD, and there were some important goings on in November (and September, but I'm trying to just let that one go haha).  So here's the highlight reel for November:

1. The first weekend in November Amanda brought the kids up so we could have a cousin sleepover, and celebrate the boys' birthdays!  It was a lot of fun!  They arrived on Friday, and after sleeping over, they went to Asher and Hannah's tball game on Saturday.  It was good clean fun, and they enjoyed the time together!  Asher and Caleb slept in Asher's room, and while Hannah put in a valient effort to sleep in the playroom with her girl cousins, her little 3 year old self just wasn't ready for it, so she snuggled with us!

2. The kids did not have school on Veteran's Day, so I took a day trip with them to visit GGPapa.  He was getting ready to move, and I just wanted a bit more time with him!!  It was a fun day- the kids played outside a lot and we went to Pizza Hut, which is where I had my 6th birthday!  Love him, and am so glad he's doing well up in TN!

3. Hope had her lip and tongue tie lasered- it was as horrible as it was with Hannah, except a bit more sad, because I was fully aware of what she was going to go through.  Thankfully Jayme was with  me, and helped Hope and I dry our tears.  The first night (of three weeks) of exercises were brutal.  I was worried sick I wouldn't do them right and her tongue tie would reattach, and she just shook with pain when I did them.  Thankfully babies heal quickly, and after a few rough days she was back to her normal self.  I am happy to report her tongue can stick way out now, and we can brush her top teeth without running into her tether, but it was  not fun.  There were even a few tethers by her upper back molars that I had no idea could grow (looked like webbing), and because it was fast, the dentist just lasered them quickly, but with no pain meds.  Our poor baby. :(  Hopefully we won't have to take her to therapy later in life over this incident hahaha.

4.   GGPapa did move at the end of the  month, just before Thanksgiving.  We went down to say good bye and see Dad and Rhonda for a bit.  It was also the same day as a surprised baby shower for Amanda!  So great to see so much family in one fell swoop!
So many memories at 1640 Miller Dr.!

Baby Shower pics!  Beautiful mama and so glad she is my sister!! :)

The shower was for girls only, so Jayme took Asher to see Grama and Papa for a quick visit in Daytona!

5. The kids had their Thanksgiving Feast at school !:)  They worked hard painting and prepping their costumes in their classrooms the week before the feast.  Parents sent in food for the feast, and my kids ate more than I expected!  I think they both tried everything on their plate and both asked for more turkey rollups!  Woohoo!  Hannah was a turkey (or as she says "tokey") and Asher was a Native American.

I think I shall document our Thanksgiving at home on another post....
