CattyShack Ranch

You may remember me talking a few years ago about Catty Shack Ranch. We took the kids on Sunday to see it, as it had been awhile since our last visit (I think Hannah was small enough to fit in a a baby carrier).
Cattyshack is a sanctuary of sorts (run by volunteers and donations), on the north side of Jacksonville, that takes in tigers, lions and various other animals that are abandoned, or people tried to have them as pets, etc.  For example, they received 3 tigers (I think it was 3) whose homes at their zoo had been destroyed by Hurricane Irma last year.  They were big tigers!  It was neat for the kids to see them up close.  We also saw the tiger we have sponsored the last several years, named Nikki.  The day we were there (Sunday) they were getting enrichment, which is a special game or treat.  This time they got pumpkins!  Some of them dug right in, and some of them had no interest.  Some of them had meat stuck in their pumpkins, and it was fun to watch them work to get it out!  It was a fun family field trip.

I took more video than pictures- here's a few of them!
