Halloween

Halloween was a busy day!  In addition to our sick Hannah, Asher had his Literacy parade for school.  Kindergarten and First Grade get to dress up, and have to carry a book that coordinates with their costume.  Asher chose to be a sheriff (with Jayme as his inmate), and thankfully he chose a Lego police book from the library that fit with his costume, so that made it easy for me!  The kids paraded around the inside of the school in their costumes- he is the last kid in the video just FYI.  After the parade I stuck around for a bit to help out with their special craft and special snack, which Asher loves.  I got to eat lunch with him as well!! I am taking as much advantage of Jayme working from home as I can!

Hugs and Soaring Eagle congrats from Aunt Dawn!

Sweet girl- she ended up going trick or treating for a bit, as her only symptom was a fever, and she had tested negative for flu and strep at the doctor the day before Halloween, though the dr said all of her symptoms seemed like flu....  I figured she really wasn't going to be touching other kids or spreading too many germs, so we'd just go until she said stop.  She made it 45 minutes before requesting to go home.  In addition, Hope felt warm to me right before we left go go trick or treating, but I just thought "welp another hour isn't going to make a difference" and she was acting good, so off we went.  By the time Hope made it around the 'hood with Asher and Daddy, her temp was around 102....let the fun begin poor kids!  We had fun while it lasted...

You know how obsessed Asher is with police Legos and jails, so he wanted to be a police/sheriff for Halloween, and requested Jayme be his inmate.  Jayme played along very nicely, and got some laughs along the way!  The girls were supposed to both be Tinkerbell, and I'd be a pirate from Peter Pan, but Hannah changed her mind at the last minute...so I was just a random pirate hahaha.  Jayme found my costume at Target for $15 and it fit so I rolled with it!

Happy Halloween.....
