The kids rotated through 6 centers, which required a lot of prep! The teachers really did a lot for the kiddos, and we are super blessed by them! Check out the room mom gift I was given on Friday for being a room mom- how sweet is this?? All the kids signed the card...be still my heart.
Jayme very sweetly kept Hope so I could go to Asher’s party, and he dropped her off at the school so I could stay for lunch with Asher. She LOVED seeing him for lunch and felt quite important eating with the big kids. I will say she is not a shy kid, usually. There are special tables for parents in the lunch room, to sit with and eat with your kid. A dad showed up and was waiting for his daughter so he could eat lunch with her. Meanwhile he unpacked his Panera Bread meal he had brought, which Hope likes. So she marched herself over to him and said “I like Mac n Cheese!” (Which is what he had brought). And proceeded to chat with him. This child cracks me up. She is a happy girl, and is quite social!
I will say there is never a dull moment, as was proven by Monday afternoon in carline. I ended up being first in line which is always exciting, but when I went to start the car after getting Asher in.....the van wouldn’t start. Again, in carline, first car, many cars behind me, and also other cars in the other lane. Sigh..I flagged down a teacher and told her what was going on, and then called my knight in shining armor to come help (aka Jayme). Meanwhile my friend Fun happened to be picking up her daughter and was parked very close to me. She very sweetly waited with me and then even gave us her jumper cables (because of course the battery operated jumpy thing we had in my trunk had no charge). She really saved the day. We are so thankful for her, and will pay her pack somehow!!! SO thankful for her generosity and kindness. It ended up the battery was fine, that we probably left a door cracked or light on, but it didn’t need replaced which saved us some dollars!!!! Yay!
Pic on the left is Asher's buddy Liam and his mom, another room mom! The following pictures are of the centers they rotated through. They made a couple of ornaments, reindeer food, the snowman, did a seek and find, decorated cookies, and had packet of fun activities.
