Hannah’s Program and Asher’s Field Trip

The crazy week continued on Wednesday December 19th with Hannah’s Christmas program.  Her teacher had told me a couple of weeks ago that she would be Mary in the program.  It was sweet, the 4 VPK teachers unanimously decided that she was the perfect kid for the role, there was no arguing :).  I decided not to tell her, as she is in a shy phase at the moment, and I figured she would do it if her teacher asked her, but maybe balk at the idea if I brought it up.  It ended up working out well, and she took her role very seriously, and did an awesome job.  She walked down the aisle very nicely, and set baby Jesus in the manger perfectly :).  We sent in the baby doll that GGPapa had given us from his house.  It was sweet.  She carefully brought it back and forth daily to the school, so nothing would happen to it.  :).  We were also very excited that Grama H arrived late Tuesday night so she was able to see the program, AND keep Hope for me while I went with Asher's class on their walking field trip to see Polar Express before Hannah's program!

After the program we went to the cookie reception and then grabbed PDQ for lunch.  I put Hope down for her nap and furiously packed to go to Orlando!

Asher, on the other hand, stayed in town with Jayme so he could finish his last week of school before Christmas break.  I felt terrible when he had a hard time with us leaving (he rarely cries, and he followed me around the house like a sad puppy dog weeping while I finished packing.). However, once I went through all the fun things he would get to do with Daddy because his little sisters weren’t around he perked up.  I told him they could get dinner from his choice of restaurant (he chose Your Pie), that he could play chess without Hope grabbing all the pieces, he could watch Battle Bots, and even stay up a little late, that made him happier.  When he got to Orlando Friday night he said “Mommy, I had fun with Daddy.”  Yay!!!  To clarify, if he hadn’t missed 2 weeks of school already this year I would have brought him with us, but decided to make him do school this time...
Sweet boy asked for a picture with me before we left.

Wednesday morning before Hannah’s program Asher had a walking field trip to the church right next door to school.  I went along (thanks to Grama H for keeping Hope), and enjoyed some snuggles while the class watched Polar Express in their jammies, along with the other kindergarten and first grade classes.  He loves when I can come in, and that makes my heart so happy, despite being completely stressed out about having not finished packing!!!! Later in the day Dawn sent me a cute pic of him at lunch, which made me super happy as well.  Thanks girl!

After packing up the entire house (haha felt like it), Grama H, Hope, Hannah and myself droppped Asher off with Daddy at his office and headed to Orlando. Surprisingly we did not have too much traffic, though I-4 is insane and like a race track currently!  I felt like Richard Petty hahaha.  We did have some rain as well, but arrived at Marriott Grande Vista safely, around 7pm.  Amanda found an awesome deal on 3 units at this great resort, through her time share connections.  We paid $266 for THE ENTIRE WEEK (so it worked out, even though we only used Wednesday-Sunday), and had a lot of fun bopping around the resort and each others rooms until Sunday morning.  I have to say the resort was really nice, the rooms were clean and pretty modern, and we had tons of space.  We ended up with two, 2 bedroom units that the Salis, McDonoughs and Grandpa used, and then we had a 3 bedroom unit that we took two of the bedrooms and Mom used the third bedroom (Which was more like a studio).

Hannah is a very good helper, and after I told her she could sleep with me until Daddy and Asher arrived, she quickly chose her side of the bed and set up her special blanket and stuffed animals.
