Saturday Fun

This past Saturday was a fun, busy day full of awesome family time!  We started our day in Daytona Beach at Papa's company party.  We were very thankful to be invited, and the kids had a blast running around, eating great BBQ, petting animals (Asher and Hope were SUPER brave and pet all the animals, Asher held several, and they rode a pony as well!  Who knew either one of them would climb right up?!), playing with cousins and visiting with family.  They also had the awesome treat of receiving a gift from the jolly man in red himself!  What a fun morning/afternoon!

Before we left Daytona we changed into concert clothes and headed to DeLand to watch the Stetson Young Singers perform their winter concert.  The kids did pretty well, even napless Hope hung in there almost until the end.  I really enjoyed watching Amanda direct the choir we once sang in, and it was also really neat to see Joanna and Elena singing under her direction as well.  Joanna reminds us all so much of Amanda when she was young!!!
Amanda does a great job of knowing her singers strengths, and chose music accordingly.  She was cool, calm and collected, and I'm so proud I am her sister!  This brought more cousin fun, and Caleb and Asher in particular were excited to see each other.  For some reason there was wrestling almost immediately upon seeing each other.  It was pretty funny.  After the concert we enjoyed some yummy eggs and pancakes at IHOP before heading back to Jax!
