Friday

Today was an interesting day.  Asher has been under the weather since yesterday- a stuffy nose, cough (due to runny nose) and fever yesterday afternoon.  Cutie pie slept waaayy in until 1015am this morning and woke up fever free.  He stayed that way all day- yay!  He's been cranky and the nose is still runnin but he's doing better.  Tonight we had a fun time with him after Jayme got home from work- we chased him around and tried desperately to get his new trick on film.  He squinches his little face up, almost closes his eyes, sticks out his chin and runs!  He first did it while chasing Pito, but now he just thinks its fun.
We also had an OB appt today, and everything looks good with Sweet Pea.  Her heart rate was 155, she is still in the right position and I haven't gained any weigh for a couple weeks woot woot (a fluke I am sure haha).  We are going to get a look at her (through ultrasound) on Thursday to try and guess her weight and decide to induce or just let little miss come on her own!  I can't believe it's coming up so soon.
I am also going to ask for your prayers for dear friends of ours, Rich and Michelle Zachry.  The short version of the story is that Michelle is pregnant with their second son and due 6 weeks after me.  We were pregnant at the same time with our first babies too- their son Cole was born 3 months before Asher.  Rich and Michelle found out this week that baby boy has an extremely rare condition in which his kidneys, liver and urethra are non functioning.  It is so rare their local high risk specialist has not heard of it.  They have consulted with two specialists and the prognosis is the same- sweet sweet boy will not be able to survive after delivery.  This breaks my heart and I cannot imagine the pain they are/will be going through.  God can do miracles and I am praying for just that.  It would be to His glory.  Jayme was in Rich's wedding and Rich was Jayme's best man in our wedding.  Michelle and I have become fast friends and the main thing I know about her is her faith is very strong and from the day I met her she has talked about wanting to be a mommy.  It is the best job in the world, and it is impossible to comprehend that gift being taken away from any mom (or of course dad).  I pray fervently that the doctors will be proven wrong and that God will heal this innocent baby.  They are such sweet friends of ours...thank you in advance for putting them on your prayer lists.
