Another Catch Up!

I can't believe how behind I am with the blog!  We have had a super busy week.  Very good, but busy.  We started off on Sunday with church, then I went to brunch with Barbie, Dawn and Vera and then after nap time (in which Asher was in his crib for TWO HOURS but didn't sleep a wink) we went to Port Orange to celebrate our niece Ashley and nephew Lane graduating from high school.  Oddly enough, in keeping track of the little people I didn't get any pictures of the graduates or Jayme- oops!  Congrats guys!
Girl Time!

Hannah and Auntie Ann

Monday brought brunch with Amanda and all 6 children at Bob Evans!  It's always fun to get together, albiet the conversations are a bit abrupt and filled with "I'll get you syrup, just a minute.  No Asher no Bubble right now.  Yes Lydia you can sit with Hannah" you get the picture!  We just laugh and smile and know that it's great to be in each other's company.  One day we will have no children at home and just sit and talk about them and how much we miss them!  :P

At least all of Amanda's kids are looking!

Back at home- couldn't leave cutie pie out!
Monday also brought Jayme's first business trip since Hannah was born.  I really can't complain because he travels so rarely, but we definitely missed him!  Thankfully and prayerfully, both kiddos went down around 8-830 and Asher slept til 8am and Hannah got up twice to eat and went back to sleep quickly.  Perfect babies!
Tuesday brought a visit with Aunt Dawn in the morning (always a treat) and a trip to the playground in the afternoon.
Our "selfie" to Daddy Tuesday morning before his meeting

Because why play "in" the playground when you can pick up pinecones outside the playground?!

Wednesday morning was an oh so fun trip to the car dealership to get the Terrain looked at with both kiddos in tow!  Thankfully Hannah was her sweet self (although she didn't want to be in her car seat the whole time) and I brought Mr. Potato Head, books, and of course "Bubble" along to help us pass the time.  I tried not to think of all the germs that were lurking on the ground and did think to dress Asher in jeans so at least his legs were covered!  Because even though he can walk, a new place means crawling under chairs??  Thankfully too the waiting room was empty except for one other man.  Two hours fifteen minutes and a new tire later we were on the road back home for nap time.

Thursday we were supposed to have a play date but that got canceled so we went to the zoo instead.  During the summer there is a splash park area for little people that I wanted to see if Asher would try out.  I dressed him in his suit to go to the zoo but his cautious personality came out when we got to the splash area.  Despite there only being about 6 other kids there, as soon as we pulled up to it in the stroller he started saying "all done all done and bye bye bye bye."  Had I not been by myself I would have taken him in and seen if he would have warmed up to it, but strollers weren't allowed inside the area, so off we went to look at some animals!
Asher really seemed to study the animals this trip, which was fun to watch.  We went to feed the giraffes, but none wanted to eat, so we just sat and looked at them.  I kept asking him if he wanted to go see something else but he just kept staring.  Same thing with the flamingos (aka "mingos").  After we left them he kept asking for them.
He also loved the warty pigs (pih, pih he says).  And the sea otters.  The funny part is he doesn't seem any more excited about the big tigers than any other animal!  We got to the tiger exhibit to find they were doing their daily "tiger talk."  It was pretty cool!  They had a "stage" area that was hidden in the tiger room.  The doors slid open and two trainers came out and gave stats about the tigers.  They also talked about how they are endangered and how we could help.  We were supposed to be very quiet, so I was nervous we would have to leave, but once he saw the tiger Asher was very quiet, except for clapping because he was excited!  It was cute.  We also tried a new exhibit- the Butterfly Hollow.  It was fun to see many beautiful plants and flutterbys flitting around.  Asher enjoyed being able to run free and actually did a decent job of listening when I told him he couldn't go tromping through the bushes:).

Captivated by the giraffes- looks comfy doesn't he ??

Mingos!

Bye bye splash park!

Ugly warty pigs

Sweet baby girl gave up at the very end!

Yesterday was Hannah's 4 month checkup!  I can't believe it's already been four months.  I am so glad for my camera and this blog because without them I wouldn't know what we have been doing!  My mind is gone these days so it's nice to have most of the memories recorded!  More on Hannah in a bit! :)

All in all a really fun week!
