Asher seemed to like it, and had a good time climbing on, under and through the structures. It was hot so we didn't stay too long but it helped accomplish the goal of getting out!
Asher is growing and changing daily. He is really getting proficient with several colors, and spends his day pointing them out to me/us wherever he sees them- be it on our nightly walk around th 'hood, in books, on TV or at whatever store we happen to be at. He knows yellow (yewwo- his favorite I think), purple (puhpuh), boo, gree, and pink (pih). He can identify red and orange, but hasn't yet figured out how to say them.
The other day I was wearing oval shaped earrings. I was changing Asher's diaper after his nap and he started playing with them. All of a sudden he says "oval." It's so neat when he just pops out with things we have discussed!
Another new hobby of his is helping me throw diapers away after changes- his or Hannah's. After he puts them in the diaper genie he claps for himself and asks for more. It's funny- don't worry he doesn't throw away dirty ones!
Let's see....What else is he up to....he loves to dance and will bust a move wherever he is, regardless of if there's music, although he does start to wiggle as soon as I turn the radio on...it's really fun. Unfortunately he stops immediately if he sees me trying to tape him!
Another of his new favorite words is HEY! He mostly yells it at Pito while bugging him, which means I do that- haha. He says it so funny- lots of emphasis on the H sound.
He seems to like to sort things. He loves to play with pom poms, and put them in various cups, containers or even in the crack between the fridge and cabinets! We were playing with stickers (supervised) that came in a coloring book (thanks Aunt Dawn), and as I handed them to him he put them all on the carpet first. Then I asked him "Where's Goby?" and he proceeded to find all the Goby stickers and put them together, and did the same with Mr. Grouper. Goby comes out "dobee" and he loves saying it too!
Asher cracks me up on a daily basis- he loves to close his eyes and walk across the room because why not? He bumps into things and giggles. He still talks on his "phone" aka his hand, and even though I walked into his room the other day after nap to get him up he didn't get off the phone for me....just kept talking away. I'll have to teach him some phone etiquette I guess. Haha. He loves to "talk"- looks you straight in the eye and starts babbling, like you are for real having a conversation. He does it the the Publix cashiers, and they crack up!
He is such a joy, and we are so blessed by him! :)
