Good Weekend

This weekend was a bit of a wash out- it rained all day yesterday!  Despite that, we managed to have some good family time.  We went to Bay & Bee Saturday morning, as a family.  It's always so fun to have Daddy around!!  Hannah is growing up so fast- she is now actively playing when we are there, not just chillin in a bouncer or under a play gym (though Asher knows that's what she used to do- he saw another baby under the play gym on Wednesday and came running over to me, saying "Hannah's, Hannah's").  Asher gibber jabbers ALL THE TIME now, with every 15th "word" being a real one.  He especially loves to talk while looking in the mirror.  Take a look:

Last night Jayme and I got out for a date night- yay!  We tried out a different restaurant than we had been to before- called Blue Fish.  We both got fish and enjoyed conversation that didn't involve feeding a child chicken nuggets and a Jumparoo bouncing nearby (though we do love both of those things).  Then we went back to the Cheesecake Factory and enjoyed dessert- yummy!!!  We finished the night by browsing the stacks at Barnes and Noble.  Woot woot!

Today we made it to church and the kids actually did well in the nursery, as far as we can tell, which was happy.  It's hard to concentrate on the sermon when you expect to see your child's number pop up on the screen.  Asher came walking out of his room with a big smile on his face.  It was cute.

After naps we went to the pool.  The water was COLD from all the rain, but we enjoyed it for about 45 minutes, before Asher started shivering.  Poor kid!  He was SO excited to go- when he got up from his nap I said "Hey buddy do you want to go swim?"  He got a HUGE smile on his face and said "Pool?  Pool?"  I asked if he wanted to go to the pool and he said "YEP!"  Too cute!  When we got into the pool he said "Wall?  Wall?"  He wanted to swim to the wall!  I was excited.  He also asked for Amy, his instructor.  It was sweet.  Hannah really loves the water too.  When you get her close to it she starts kicking her legs hard.  She loves to splash in it!
