This Week

Well it's been a quiet week here at the Wiggins house!  We've had a sick little boy since we got home from a great Sea World weekend with Grama and Papa on Sunday evening.  The kids went right into their beds at about 830pm on Sunday evening.  Asher woke up at about 1115pm and had a lot of trouble going back to sleep.  He actually never went back to sleep, come to think of it.  At about 130am he told me his tummy hurt and he wanted a granola bar.  Well, a granola bar after being silly and saying things like "I fink I want some lizards...no some trees."  So out we went to the kitchen for a granola bar.  However, only one bite was eaten before he vomited.  Poor kiddo.  It was so sad and pathetic to watch.  He just looked at me like "what is going on?"  He never even cried.  I told him it was okay to just let it all come out!  After he was done I put him in a warm bath and cleaned up the mess as best I could for the moment.  I asked him how his tummy felt and he said "I fink it's probably feeling great!"  I asked him about a hundred more times....I set him up in front of the TV for a couple episodes of Paw Patrol with some towels and a trash can around him, because I didn't want to put him back to bed if more was coming.  Thankfully no more vomiting happened, and we headed back to bed at about 315am, where it took him awhile to go to sleep.  I'd say around 4am.  What a way to start the week!
On Monday we stayed home all day, with the exception of me taking Hannah to ISR maintenance lessons.  Her floating had become pretty awful, so I emailed Amy and asked her to put us back in her rotation.  I am happy to say that today something seemed to click with her and she did great floating and swimming to the wall.  Amy said she was excited for this and that next summers lessons would go great!
I left Asher at home with Abby while I took Hannah to her lessons on Monday, and bless his little heart he fell asleep on the couch, which was a first for him!  He slept until 230pm and woke up with a bit more pep in his step.  He didn't eat much all day, and the virus seemed like it had gone the other way, so no more throwing up but not fun, and he had a low fever of 100.6 for most of the day.  Nothin' to do but sit around and watch TV, then play when he felt up for it!
Tuesday I went to my friend Amy's dad's funeral in Gainesville.  We had picked Abby up on our way home from Sea World, and she was game to keep Asher even though he was sick.  He actually seemed a bit better- his mood was decent and he ate some for her, though it did go through him.
Yesterday was another bad day for him.  He was very cranky, though I'm sure a lot of it was hunger, and he didn't eat anything.  He drank a bit of milk and some OJ, but I literally could not get him to eat a thing!! :(  He also asked to go to bed for nap and bedtime.
Today has been a bit better- he has eaten Pirates Booty and grapes- hopefully this trend will continue!  Say a quick prayer for our little man, and that Hannah stays healthy (at this point she hasn't shown any signs of sickness!)
I've been thankful for Abby's company this week, and for her keeping the kids so Jayme could go to work and I could go support Amy.  Keep Amy, her mother Lynda and her brother Chris in your prayers please!

This little girl is OBSESSED with Bubble Guppies.  She says "bubble" perfectly and all day kept pointing to her shirt and saying the word!  Love her!  She picked out her outfit, in case you can't tell :)

Let me tell you how often this happens :(
