Thursday morning we took Pito to a followup appointment to check on his breathing/lungs. Dr. Davis told me that he sounded much better and she is pleased with his progress. He won't be able to do things like run, chase, play fetch or get too excited for the rest of his little life, so as not to exacerbate his heart condition, but hopefully we can control the leaking of fluid with the meds we were given and give him a good quality of life for however long he lasts. I was instructed to give him two doses of the really important meds if needed, instead of one, but today he seems pretty good. He even greeted us with barking and ran around a bit when we got home from the beach. Keep him in your prayers! I think we are leaning towards seeing the doggie cardiologist on June 20th to get a better idea of what we are dealing with and his prognosis, but we haven't decided officially. Pito goes back to the vet for another checkup on Tuesday.
Thursday after the vet we were going to go to the library, but it wasn't open yet! That's the second time I've goofed on the library hours- duh Nicki, read what you look up online! So instead we grabbed a donut at Dunkin Donuts and then went to Target, at Asher's request, "to look at all the toys I need." After correcting him and letting him know he doesn't need a single thing, we just took a long walk around the store! They were SO good, enjoying pushing all the "Try me" buttons in each toy aisle, and moving on to the next item whenever I instructed. It was really interesting to watch them get excited about a toy, but then be fine leaving it behind. I was proud of them.
We did buy something exciting for Hannah: big girl undies! She has taken to talking about being potty trained, saying things like "no me diapers anymore, just undies" "me big girl" and "me potty tain?" We have a busy schedule the next 3 or 4 weekends, but it seems like July is a good time for it! Wish us luck!
Friday morning after the air conditioner was fixed we met Candace and the boys at the library to get some books and then we went to Chickfila for lunch. It was a bit crazy and I didn't take any pics (I know, you are disappointed haha), but it was nice to hang out with them!
It was a good two days!:)
Lovebug and I are 25 weeks along and doing pretty well! I had an appt on Tuesday, and she is great! Definitely getting hard to lean over and play with the kids (she gets squished) but hanging in there!
Choosing undies at Target! She picked girl version of Paw Patrol, Minnie Mouse, Frozen, and Ariel undies! :)
Asher is enjoying the paints Grama W. brought him last weekend on a daily basis!
We did pick up a little sprinkler at Target, which they both seem to like a lot. You can adjust how strong the spray is, which Asher finds fun. He kept asking Hannah if she wanted it "a little higher, or lower." I couldn't resist the pic of the plumbers crack!

Asher is enjoying using pretzel sticks and QTips to make various letters. He is very interested in letters, their sounds, and writing them as well!
