Asher and The List

Saturday afternoon after the beach I got the opportunity to go out with just Asher on a little date.  I think it was my first time taking him out (just the two of us) since Hope was born (actually I may have taken him to Publix once before).  This is going to become more frequent, hopefully, because it's good for both of us to spend time together.  We get to talk about him, instead of just managing the 3 of them!
He told me one day a few months ago he wished we didn't have Hope.  When I inquired as to why his response was "Because you don't have time for us, because Hope always needs something."  It's the only time I have heard him say something negative about Hope, but it has been in the back of my mind since.  So I'd love to start taking the big kids out one at a time, just for some ice cream or on an errand, without the baby.  Anyways!
We are in need of a big clock for over our mantle, as the one we had broke.  So off we went to Hobby Lobby, World Market and Home Goods.  Along the way Asher found A LOT of stuff he wanted.  Several months back, while watching TV, both big kids started asking for everything, on every commercial.  So I invented "the list."  If they say they want a toy, I say "I'll put it on your list."  What they don't know is the list is in my head!  Haha- but it appeases them and I don't have to explain 8000 times a day why they don't need any more toys.
Well, back to our date.  Asher kept asking for things, so I told him they'd go on the list.  At one point I said "thanks for coming with me buddy" and his response was "thanks for letting me put so much things on my list!"  Since we were out and about I took pictures of the items he wanted, along with pictures of potential clocks to send to Jayme.  He was very into finding anything that could be considered a treasure box, and he is still talking about getting one after he fills up his incentive chart we have going.
It was a fun couple of hours with my little man.

This was because , well, there was a huge flamingo at Home Goods!  Silly!
