We were up and at 'em pretty early (this is normal), so we made it into the park at about 930am. We proceeded to see all of the shows, including the new dolphin show, the new "summer only" bubble show, and the new dolphin nursery. Then we spent a little bit of time at the kid area. Both big kids got to choose an arcade game to win a toy. Asher picked a new one this time, and I crossed my fingers and hoped he would win! Jayme of course calulated the probabilities, and decided if we went with the 20 chances option he should get at least one in. He did, and came home a happy boy. Hannah chose her favorite octopus game because she saw the pink and purple dolphin hanging up and really wanted it.
The bubble show was really neat. It involved a man doing lots and lots of bubble tricks! Small bubbles, big bubbles, bubbles within bubbles! The kids loved it, and frankly, we did too! Hannah however, fell asleep during the show, and she was out for awhile, probably an hour and a half. We transferred her to the stroller, then into the Shamu show, then back into the stroller and she was till sleeping! Then, right after the Shamu show, Asher fell asleep in the stroller! When they both woke up full of energy I thought, well we can take them back, let them swim awhile, then chase them around the hotel room, or we can go somewhere else. I had been wanting to check out the new Disney Springs for awhile, and we figured out it wasn't too far of a drive. So, off we went! So glad we did, even though it ended up being a late night for us. I texted Dawn for parking help, as there are massive garages now but we really didn't want to walk that far, and it looked like everything was full! Thankfully she answered back right away and told me about the beautiful option of preferred parking. You go in like you are valet parking, but you self park for $10. We were in the first row of parking and didn't have to waste any time looking for a space. Couldn't have been closer! We now know that we really wanted to be on the other end of the whole thing, near more of the new shops, so next time that's what we will do! Thanks Dawn (also she told us which end to go to, we just were closer to the one we went in)! We walked right up to House of Blues and got seated within 10 minutes. Winning! Then we just walked around the complex, and though it was crazy crowded (we usually go out of our way to avoid situations like these haha), we did well and enjoyed being together. The kids had fun going into the Star Wars and Marvel Comic stores (Asher thinks he loves Spider Man, despite never having seen the movies or cartoons, or anything haha). We told them they could each choose one toy, and it was fun watching them decide. They are newly into Lego Duplo sets, so we hit up the Lego store too. They were very sweet and grateful for their gifts, though I can't post the video because Asher is rockin' only his undies. We intended to go get dessert at Goofy's Candy Company, but got a bit turned around, and the kids were starting to melt down, so we left!
The next morning, instead of going back to Sea World, we decided 8 hours at the park and Disney Springs was enough, and after checkout we just enjoyed the pirate pool some more before heading back to DeLand to grab Diego, and then home to Jax.
Awesome weekend together. I'm also posting a video of the weekend first, if you'd rather view that than all the pics!
