Wednesdays are a long day for Asher and Hannah, because they have dance and Spanish after school, so they just wanted to go home after their activites. We went through the Krispy Kreme drive through and snagged some treats to eat at home. Hope was hilarious- she was only allowed half a donut, but she picked off the sprinkles one by one, and fully enjoyed it.
Jayme and I got Carrabba's takeout for dinner, which was delicious! It was a happy love day. It's just so much fun watching their little faces light up.
I have noticed they are both pretty sensitive to the moods of their friends. If they have any hint of a conflict with a friend, they mention it when they are home after school. Asher has more of an angry hurt, and Hannah has more of a sad hurt. She says "Mommy my friend didn't want to slide with me today, she wanted me to chase her, so I did, but I didn't want to." Asher is more "Well Mommy, today my friend told me he didn't trust me out on the playground." His big eyes get teary, but he refuses to let any tears come down. It breaks my heart, and I can only imagine the disappointments they will face as they get older, but man I just want to be with them all day every day so they don't fight back with any kid but don't get their feelings hurt either!
Anyways, at least they aren't in school full time yet, and I get to pick them up from school around 1pm, hug them and give them donuts :). Trying to enjoy every little moment! If you are in the mood for a video, then check out the one at the very end, if not, here are the pictures from the day!
