On Monday afternoon Jayme took the big kids on a couple of errands, and I took Hope on an errand as well, and then we went to the beach together. It was pretty warm here at the house, but was quite chilly at the beach. The kids did NOT seem to care, including Hope, and they splashed in the puddles and ran to their little hearts content! Good quality family time together.
They love to go to Jayme's office :)
Hope was a bit tentative at first, then she just took off. I think she loved the open space to just go wherever she wanted. The water was COLD, but she splashed in it just the same!
These pictures are from Sunday, and Asher wanted me to take a picture of his bubble before he let Hope pop it.
This is when Hope woke up from her nap and could see Jayme and the big kids outside.
She loves her some ice!
Ok and I have to just document this silly occurrence. I won't post a bunch of pics so they won't be potentially embarrassed in the future, but the day Jayme was mowing the lawn and I was cleaning out the pantry Hannah and Asher started to play barber shop/hair salon (a normal occurrence in our home). There was a lot of giggling and Hannah said "Ashur, I can't put your hair in a pony tail! It's so long!" They came to me and asked me to do just this, I obliged.
Next they went giggling into the bathroom and Hannah put clips in his hair. They thought this was hilarious. Then it got quiet. A few minutes later they came running into the kitchen, doubled over at their hilarity, and when I looked, Asher was dressed in one of Hannah's dresses and leggings. Oh my goodness. They begged to go outside and let Daddy see. I warned them it wouldn't go over well with Daddy, but they insisted. Jayme handled it well, joking "Go inside and take those clothes off right now!" But this only fueled their fire. Off they went to Asher's room, and dressed Hanah up in Asher's clothes, and begged to go show Daddy. He laughed and started calling them the opposite names. Next we needed to dress up like a pirate and make a mustache out of paper. Oh these kids and their imaginations! Weekend silliness!
