Easter Egg Hunt
We had an awesome morning! My friend/neighbor Candace invited us to a playgroup from her church for an Easter egg hunt at Russell Park. Everyone chipped in and brought something for lunch (I lucked out and only had to bring paper plates) and 12 filled eggs per kid that you have. Some of the moms hid the eggs and then we let the kids go! Asher definitely has the hang of it this year! He doesn't push or rush ahead of anyone by any means, but he has discovered how fun it is to find the treats inside! He had a mouthful of jelly beans within minutes of the hunt ending. He is also very thoughtful- Hannah wasn't as in to it (understandably so) and after Asher set down his bucket near her she sat down and started shaking and playing with the eggs that were in his basket. She didn't move from that spot for about 10 minutes:). I followed Asher to find some more eggs, and he sweetly asked about her a few times, because usually they are two little peas in a pod!
Lunch was perfect- everyone has toddlers so it was a very toddler friendly lunch- Teddy Grahams, fruit, some veggies, cupcakes (Asher ate the jelly beans off of his), fruit pouches, PBJ sandwiches (which I discovered Hannah really likes- score!), cheese sticks and various other things. Win for everyone!
Both before and after the hunt the kids played on the playground. Asher is getting really good at climbing and sliding independently (sometimes makes me nervous when he climbs high structures), and Hannah loved going up steps and down slides as well. Asher looked at me at one point and said "It's fun playing at the playground Mommy!"
The weather was gorgeous as well- about 78 degrees with a great breeze! A very perfect morning!
(Most of) the group!
I'm good right here- I'll let brother do all the work!
