Last Week

Last week was a very "normal" week with some happy days and a couple of cranky days too!  All a part of life with two toddlers!
There is a lot of magic going on in this house, thanks to our resident magician, Asher Cade.  He LOVES to make things disappear by yelling "abracadabra!" and he uses just about anything he can get his hands on to be his wand.  He likes to create a "stage" by pushing the chairs from the kitchen table over to where the powder room hallway is, or he will use the white table and chair set from the playroom.  He takes it very seriously, and loves when he makes Mommy and Daddy disappear and reappear.  I'm going to post a video of it!
The "wand" you see in his hand in the picture below accidentally poked him in the eye, so I have ordered and just received a Melissa and Doug Magician role play set, complete with a hat, cape, magic wand, and stuffed bunny to pull out of said hat.  I think he will love it!
Asher is talking quite a bit these days, and sometimes it's hard to get him to quiet down!  For example, when I picked him up from school today, he had quite the stream of things to tell me, in no particular order:
"My stomach is telling me it's time for wunch."
"It's fun at stool (school)."
"Go down the swide and up the stairs."
"I fink Hannah want some graham crackers too!" (she was sleeping)
"Dewicious!"
"I fink daddy be home soon- he's at work."
I told him to be careful while eating his string cheese and apples I brought him, to which he replied:
"Don't worry- chew vewy vewy vewy swowly."
"You da best Mommy and Hannah and Asher and Daddy."
Yesterday he was watching Mickey while drinking his milk before his nap.  He liked the episode (called the Go Getters), so I DVR'd it and told him I was taping it for him to watch later.  He got upset with  me and kept repeating "No Mommy, don't take Go Getters...no Mommy don't take it...You have a time out!"  He thought I was telling him I was taking it, not taping it, bless his little heart!
He likes us to sing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer before bed.  The other night I skipped the "You know Dasher and Dancer and Comet and Cupid..." part and he stopped me and said "No Mommy, sing know ASHER and Dancer, Comet and Cupid" not only did he know all the names of the reindeer, but he thinks Dasher is really Asher.  He cracks us up!

And Hannah is not to be left out of all the fun!  She can now point to her nose, mouth, belly and is currently liking poking me in the eyes, so I'm sure that's the next body part!  She doesn't talk a whole lot yet, but if you listen carefully, she does say words, despite being said quietly.  She pointed to Daddy's picture last week and said "Da!" and does call him Dada.  Last Tuesday she looked at me in the mirror and said "Mama!"  She will say "bye bye" and I've heard "hi" a couple of times.  We were playing with bubbles last week and after about a minute she said "buh buh."  She says "ba" when you ask her if she wants a bath, and also say "ba" for ball when she picks one up.  If you tell her it's time to change her diaper she either walks to her room or lays down on the floor for us!  She's a doll, and is still quite spunky, preferring to be on the go, down and around rather than restricted in any chair!  She is currently going through a separation anxiety stage at night, which is making bedtime challenging, but once she's down she's out until morning.  She is also drooling up a storm because she's getting those incisors and has a runny nose!
Ok, here's a few pictures from last week, and the videos as promised.

This video is of Hannah being loud- so loud that it bothers Asher and he stops his magic show (with his wand in hand) to tell her No Hannah!

 Bay & Bee fun :)

At the Zoo- Asher fed the giraffe by himself through the fence!

Magic Show and the offending wand

Disappearing behind the "curtain" of pillows

This little one LOVES splashing in the tub- we have to mop up so much water after every bath!

Snuggles with Daddy before bed

One more funny moment from last week- Hannah kept trying to sit in this tiny tiny chair that came with a Mickey set...here's the video- it was soo funny!  Asher as sitting in the play kitchen sink (you can hear him saying he's going to go potty in the sink), and so she wanted to sit in something too!
