After we got home I hid some eggs in the backyard and we let the kids go for it! They had a blast picking up eggs and trying to get inside of them! Once they figured out the yummy treats that were waiting for them they were a bit less apt to hunt for more eggs! Almost a week later, and they are still getting one or two eggs a day, and they LOVE the jelly beans the best! It was lots of fun, and after the hunt they went down for naps.
We have been talking to Asher about the real meaning of Easter, which he has been learning about in school as well. When I tell him Easter is when we get excited that Jesus came back to life, he says "We must be gentle wif people." That's what they learned in school I think! He also learned this cool song, to the tune of "Where is Thumbkin?"
Where is Jesus?
Where is Jesus?
Here I come!
Here I come!
We will follow Jesus,
We will follow Jesus,
Yes I do,
Yes I do!
Which sums it all up! Thank you Lord for sending your son to take all of our sins away. Thank you for our many blessings, among them the gift of these beautiful healthy children and our families!
Why not use an egg for a baseball?
