New Year's Eve was an eventful day! Tuesday night we firmed up plans to host our annual (except last year) game night to ring in the new year. However, after I looked around my house, I kind of panicked! Thankfully my sweet friend Candace insisted on keeping the kids for a couple of hours Thursday morning so I could make my house look better, like two tiny monsters don't live here! The time was priceless and while I wouldn't trade them for the world, I was reminded why my house used to be really clean, and now is not as much! They had a blast playing with their friends and a huge thank you to Candace! You are amazing! She had 4 kids 3 and under for a few hours :). AND her hubby was out of town!
Fast forward to New Year's Eve! We had the Longs, the Myerholtz's and their two boys, and Barbie and Cash! So much fun was had - it's hard to get together these days as everyone is going every different direction with sports for kids, school, work and just life in general. So great to catch up with dear friends and spend the evening laughing. So therapeutic and necessary. Here's to hoping we can do at least a bimonthly game night with these friends! We have been friends since 2004 I believe- that's pretty cool! Love them so. :) I would also like to be so thankful that the kids went to bed early before company arrived and did not wake up the whole time we had company! Amazing- my prayers were answered!
