Sunday!

Sunday was a busy day!  We went to church, then I went to lunch with friends I haven't seen in a long time (girls I used to teach with at Kingdom Kids Preschool), and then in the late afternoon/evening we got to meet Grama and Papa in St. Augustine to celebrate Hannah's birthday a bit early and to look at the beautiful Christmas lights they still have up through the end of the month.
It was quite chilly, but we all bundled up warmly and enjoyed the time together.
We tried a restaurant we haven't been to before, called The Floridian.  It was really yummy!  Both Grama and I got a salad that had Asher blue cheese in it :).  The kids ate well, and we made it through the 1.5 hour meal without an iPad or iPhone- huge victory!  Lots of people to chat with and catch up with .
After our meal we just took some time to walk around, go in a few shops and hang together.  Hannah is a bit obsessed with turtles right now, and Asher with shells, so they each got two shells and a tiny bobble head turtle at a cute gift shop we found.  They are rarely apart from these items the last couple of days!
Asher was comfy in the stroller most of the time, while the birthday princess chose to walk, usually flanked by Papa and Daddy on each side, and sometimes Grama as well.  She'd reach for Papa's hand if he didn't get back up next to her fast enough.  So sweet!  Good times with this tradition we have together!

On our way home from St. Augustine we stopped by the Long's house and picked up an overnight guest- Mazey!  This happy puppy slept great in her crate overnight in a strange house while her family was in Orlando enjoying WWE's Royal Rumble!
