Fantastic Friday!

Friday was a busy and fun day!  Amanda and Juan texted earlier in the week and asked if we wanted to meet for brunch.  Yes please!  We arrived at Chickfila at around 940am, and the fun lasted for a couple of hours.  We got to talk and catch up while the kiddos played with each other.  Usually my kids are shy and take a long time to warm up.  Well, because we stayed so long, they got to playing with their cousins and really had a blast!  Hannah loved all the attention from the Sali girls.  She started a game with Elena where Elena would pick her up and carry her around in a bear hug.  When Elena set her down she would giggle and say "More?"  Asher had a blast wrestling and doing boy things with Caleb as well.  Such fun!

Friday afternoon we finally made it to our pool.  Asher has been asking for over a month if he could go swimming yet.  First I told him he had to have his lessons and then we waited for the pool to warm up!  To say he was excited is an understatement!  Ecstatic is more like it!  We only stayed an hour, but it was really neat to see his confidence level grow since last summer.  He was like a fish, jumping in the water and swimming to the side.  He did get a lot of air in his belly, so we have to be careful to not let him over do it, but he is anxiously waiting for us to go this afternoon too!
Hannah did great as well.  She was a bit groggy from her nap at first, but then once she got in she did great swimming as well.  She is very good about going right to her float if she even thinks she can't make it to the wall in one breath.  Very proud of both of them!
