Memorial Day Weekend

First, we of course need to say a huge thank you to those who gave it all for this great country we live in.  Also a huge thank you to their families, who will miss those they lost forever.  Thank you is not sufficient.
We spent the weekend at home, largly outside.  Saturday morning Asher was our alarm clock at 6am!  We made him lay in bed silently (kind of ) with us for awhile, but I was wide awake, so I got up and packed for the beach.  We grabbed Chickfila drive thru for breakfast and arrived at the beach earlier than usual.  We spent a little over two hours there enjoying each other's company, collecting shells and building sand castles.  Neither child is crazy about the ocean right now, Asher even less so than Hannah (she'd at least put her feet in), but I'm sure they will warm up to it over the summer.  Good family time together.

My Loves

Turtle Family!  Asher named them all "Mommy, Daddy, Me, Hannah and Lovebug" :)

Daddy and Hannah worked hard making their own big turtle down closer to the water!

"Look Mommy, at my nose"

After we came home, did the baths and lunch thing, Jayme and Asher headed out to run some manly errands and I put Hannah down for her nap, but she was not happy about it!  Every day this weekend she took almost 2 hours to go to sleep, because she knew things were going on without her!  She heard Asher mention an ICEE on Saturday and cried about it off and on in her crib :P.  Yesterday she saw them weeding the yard (oh so fun) through her window, and that was it!  She held out as long as she could :).  Silly girl.
Sunday we did church and Jayme was back out in the yard working hard.  My hat is off to him because he worked his tail off!  He weeded, planted, cleaned and killed some bug as well!  Thanks babe for all your hard work!

Sunday after church- love this first one!  The kids like to make "sandwiches" out of themselves, but I cannot participate any longer bc the belly is too big!:( :)

Tickle Time!

My hard workers

Sunday evening we went to dinner and then got some Whit's before heading home!  These cuties did great, and were in the mood for some lovin'

Not my best pic, but I loved the hug I got, and her sweet face :)

Yesterday we made sure to go to the pool and enjoy the cool water on the hot day!  It was a good weekend together.

Hannah kept flipping her arms back yesterday and it reminded me of a little mermaid!  She LOVES the water (and posing for pictures, as you can see)!
