What a Busy Week!

This past week was really fun and busy!!  We had huge news, as well as our more 'normal' days!  I think I'm just going to do a quick recap!
Monday: normal, nothing exciting, but wanted to note that Asher is now very into using scissors, so I bought him some kid scissors and a cutting practice book that he is super excited about!  Though he seems to be right handed, he sometimes cuts with his left!  Here's a few pics from our Monday afternoon cutting session:).

Later Monday afternoon we went to the pool and it turned out to be disastrous!  Asher had eaten blueberries about 45 minutes before we left, and he went full force at the pool!  I made him a bit upset when I forced him to practice his ISR pattern (he was having a bit of a confidence issue, in part because the pool is so big), and as soon as I picked him up from practicing, up came the blueberries:(.  I cleaned them up as discreetly as I could but was upset!  And of course there were about 8 other people at the pool, which is usually empty.  One of those stories I won't soon forget, but will spare you the details!

On Tuesday Hannah and I dropped Asher off at school and then headed to Bay n Bee.  She asked to go there, and was super excited.  We happened to be there when a lady came in to do a nature workshop about seeds.  She read a Dr Suess book about seeds, we sang some songs and then got to plant our own cantaloupe seed!  She of course said "Show Daddy!"  It was fun, and then we rounded out our morning with a smoothie:).    Hannah is funny: she's been becoming more aware of when we are alone, and likes to say 'just us mommy, just Hee-Dee ( what she calls herself) and Mommy.'  Or 'just us, Hee-Dee, Mommy and A-ee).'  Or today she said 'all us!'  Fun times with my little girl.

Wednesday: More Sweet Pete fun!  This time we went with my sweet friend Candace and her boys!  All the kids had a blast again, and lots of sugar was consumed as well!  It's fun to see them interact with each other, and I hope to see them lots in the next 6 weeks, as they are moving to Boston😓 in July.  To say I am sad is an understatement, but am hoping for visits, as they have a lot of family here in Jax.

Excited to start making his caterpillar!

Thursday's news shall get its own blog post, so we will move on to Friday!

Friday was a calm day- we went to the pool in the morning (much more successfully, thankfully!), and in the evening we had a babysitter so I could go to a work dinner with Jayme!!  The kids did great for her and went to bed with no problems! Yay!

Asher walked both to and from the pool, and on the way back they wanted to pull the wagon in tandem :)

Saturday was spent cleaning the house in preparation of our guests that visited before Jayme's client event at the Surf Club at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club.  It was nice to dress up and have adult conversations!  We had the pleasure of hosting Grama and Papa W., Aunt Kirstyn and Uncle Joey, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Percival before the event, here at our house.  We had a few snacks and some great visiting before heading over to the Surf Club.  The kids again did great for their babysitter!  Yeah!!
