Happy 83rd Papa!

Friday was Grandpa/Papa's 83rd birthday, so the Sali family and us met with Grandpa at Cracker Barrel for a delicious birthday dinner!  Despite Amanda calling ahead to warn them of our big group, they didn't have it together, and we ended up waiting almost an hour for a table before we got aggressive and said "put us there please, we will squish the kids together!"  Dummies!  But the kids really did well and none of them melted down.  They played in the toy section and outside to pass the time, and they are really interacting and playing with each other nicely!  Elena kept Hannah entertained with her cute jewelry box, and Caleb and Asher hung out (Caleb has reportedly said "Asher is my favorite cousin" which is so cute!). 
We were able to surprise Grandpa with dessert as well, and though it was a special thing for him, Hannah noticed right away there was something sweet on the table!  She leaned across me and said "Papa?  I have some cake too?"  Papa very sweetly obliged and she helped him polish off his cake in no time flat!  It was a chocolate/fudge/Coca Cola cake :P. 
Both kids surprisingly stayed awake on the way home, though I guess I wasn't THAT surprised about Hannah, since she had cake, and I told her that when she said "I awake!  I has a LOT of cake!"  Fun evening with family! :)  Love you Grandpa!

 They always grab hands, unprompted.  Maybe they feel stronger vs. the girls when they do this :P
