Today we started with breakfast at the ever popular Donut Experiment (Lovebug demanded it haha) before heading to downtown Tampa to visit the Florida Aquarium.
The aquarium seemed much more interesting than when we were there 2 years ago. The kids were definitely more aware and happy to check out all of the exhibits. Nothing too crazy or exotic, but all the animals are from Florida! We saw plenty of fun ones though, including otters that were very playful. We enjoyed lots of huge fish (which kind of freaked Asher out haha), sting rays, sharks, lemurs (though they were in a random Madagascar area), and lots of smiles from the kiddos! They also have redone the cafeteria area, which made for a better lunch this time around!
When we got home I asked Asher and Hannah what they liked best about the aquarium. Hannah immediately replied "like turtles!" and Asher said "I like everyfing, but not the big fish."
After the aquarium we went to the ever popular IKEA! I wanted to check out some twin bed options for Hannah, for when she makes the transition to a big girl bed eventually (though I'm not planning on kicking her out of her crib until she's closer to 3 I don't think), and just see what else we could find! The kids had fun trying out the beds, and checking out the toys in the kid section. Asher tried to convince us he "needed" more toys which was pretty funny, but he did not succeed. The only thing we ended up buying was a new set of plastic plates like we have at home and use daily, as well as the matching bowls, cups and utencils (which cost us $13 all in).
My loves :) Just FYI Asher hung out in the stroller a lot, so Hannah was the chosen "make her take a pic and smile" child today!
Alligator gar, they really look like gators!

Photo Booth Strips :)
When we arrived back at the fish house Jayme cooked us some hot dogs super fast and then we chilled and watched some kid shows until the little people went to bed. The kids like to be "wrapped up like a baby" in our blankets, so Daddy wrapped Hannah first and she laid there for quite awhile, while Asher and I snuggled too! Lovebug also got some hugs and kisses before bed, from the kids. :P
It was a great day, and we are LOVING having Jayme to ourselves all day every day! We just are hoping for some sun.....:) Hope along with us!
The photo booth pic strips are the BEST!!!
